I can't take it anymore. Are they really renting the Staples Center for this? Come on. The guy had one monster album and a few others that were good. Yes he sold a ton of albums world wide but there are people who have sold more and didn't touch little kids. He is not Princess Dianna!!! I don't care how much his mom wants him to be or how much his dad wants to try and cash in on his son one last time, although Joe Jackson will find many more ways I am sure.
So what is next? They going to put in the something and display him at neverland ranch? Actually I wouldn't put it past them.
"Look son there is Micheal Jackson, did you know he touched me in very bad places when I was your age?"
Ok, so all that aside the guy had issue. Most of them come from the way he grew up and his family. Now in death his family is continuing the BS that caused this very talented man to be such a freak! Have a funeral and bury him (if the state of California will let you put all that plastic in the ground). Honor his memory don't make it something more than it should be.
Bury the guy and throw a benefit concert or something. To parade him around that is just sick. But I guess that is the Jackson family......

What a day, I can't not blog today. Today Micheal Jackson and Farrah Fawcet died. Crazy that Micheal Jackson is gone. I remember seeing him on tv as a kid and thinking he was bigger than life and he was.
Farrah, well all my buddies had that poster. You couldn't grow up without that poster.
The world lost a lot of talent today.

So starting tomorrow (6/18/09) you can have XM radio on your iPhone. Can't wait for them to start trying to double bill me for that as well. I think that is one iPhone app I will stay away from!

I was supposed to get a call today from a manager from XM radio to talk about the issue I am having with them. Guess what, no call! Amazing.
Earlier I got an email from them saying my account was canceled. So I called them. Talked to a guy that actually wanted to fix the issue this time. So he did what I asked. I got my service for the money that I already paid and working on getting my money back for the over charges.
They do have the worst customer service ever though. Can't see how this company will be in business more than another year or two at this rate.
Actually while I was on the call the guy I was talking to put me on hold because one of the guys behind him was yelling at another customer. Got to love that.
Not happy, but better than yesterday.

So I have had XM radio for almost 5 years. I pay for it a year at a time. Always on time. You would think that they would treat a customer like this well. Nope, not at XM. I sold my old Corvette to my father a couple of years ago when I got my new one. He transferred the XM service to his account, well little did I know that XM didn't take that radio off my account. So they have been double dipping. I called tonight because I know that my car is paid up. I got an email saying my service would be shut off if I didn't pay my balance. I talked to one girl saw that the '06 Corvette was on two accounts and removed that radio from my account and credited what was "due" back to my account. She then transferred me to another woman who was supposed to look stuff up and figure out the radios and credits. She did no such thing. She told me it is not possible for one radio to be on two accounts. Said I was never double charged. All this without looking at my father's account to see that the same radio was on there and paid through next year. What she did do was try and charge me another $84 through next May. I paid $77 through November 09 last November. She said I couldn't stay on my current plan because I only have one radio, so I needed to give them another $84. Mean while she was telling me full price for 1 year with one radio is $142 but she is trying to get another $84 which would take my out of pocket for one radio this year to $161. Not to mention the over charges for the other Vette, which according to her can't happen. So I was explaining my stance on not giving them another dollar till November and she transferred me to hold then another lady picked up. This poor woman gets me and I am really angry now. I kept it cool, but with a stern voice, not abusive to the person on the phone at all. So I am waiting for a manger to call me. 3 weeks ago when I was trying to solve this issue, a manager was supposed to call. Never happened. So I am waiting for them to just shut my radio off. I plan to write a letter to the FTC, FCC, my senators and representatives. This is why Sirius and XM should never have been allowed to merge. The new company doesn't care, they have the market and are screwing the customer every which way they can. Sirus/XM Radio is losing customers left and right, this is exactly why. Last quarter they LOST customers. They said it was because the auto industry has slowed. Guess what maybe it is the complete lack of customer service and accountability that the company is displaying. I guess they must need to pay Howard this month and need me to kick in a bunch of extra so they can keep him around or something. XM Radio owes me money and an appology for the monster run around. All this today and no resolution. Don't let them have your card to run as needed. They will run it over and over again. This doesn't even touch the changes of programming that happened where I lost my 3 favorite stations in favor of the crap Sirius version. I'll blog more about this later if they call me back or if my radio that IS PAID FOR THROUGH NOVEMBER gets turned off. Sirius/XM Radio customer service SUCKS!Labels: Cars and Racing, Entertainment, Personal, Politics, Technology

Since I was a little kid I have always watched the Indy 500 and the month of May that leads up to the race. Over the years the month has shrunk and changes have been made that I didn't always agree with. My issue this year, they moved all the coverage to Versus. I missed pole day completely this year. You know if they had advertised that all the 500 coverage would be on Versus then maybe the guys that don't really care for Indy car racing anymore would know that they could watch 6+ hours a day of Indy 500 qualifying.
I think Tony George has once again dropped the ball but what else is new?

How did Phil Hellmuth make it so long in the 2008 WSOP? All they show on ESPN is him getting rolled and winning little pots. I think someone at ESPN doesn't like Phil or they just like showing him melt down, which honestly is getting really old.

I may have been a little rough on PCL in my last post. Everything I said is true. PCL is exactly what Scottsdale is, fake, full of itself and just a very pretentous club. It does have it's place. The art on the wall has some thought to it. The bar itself is very nicely presented and nicely layed out. The seating on the sides and the large dance floor is very cool. Not my kind of place. So yesterday was my buddy Ryan's birthday. (6/6) We decided to hit Scottsdale. Started at the Pink Taco. It was cool, kind of dieing by the time we got there. We didn't really get there that late it was maybe 9:30, but I guess for there it was late. Decent prices and a few people when we were there.
After that we headed over to Drift. Met up with some other friends. Lost a bet I had made the week before with the bar tender. She said she was bad at names, but some how remembered mine, so I drank and evil bastard! Had a snowball fight with her as well. I highly recommend that place. If Carrie is your bartender tip her well! If you give her shit, expect the same in return.
After that Ryan and my buddy Randy wanted to go to PCL. I tried to resist but some guy got us in a head of the line. Not some place I wanted to be. Drinks were OK as far as price. Other than that I can't say to much good about the place. It might be the most pretentious club in the world. It screams if you don't have the cash I don't have time for you. Not impressed at all. That is why people hate Scottsdale.
After PCL we hit Sultry and had some food and water. Rob the owner is the man. Always a great time there. Hung for an hour or so and went home.
All in all a fun night.Labels: Entertainment

This was one very long weekend! Started Thursday with Devil's Martini North, (Scottsdale and Shea). They have 2 for 1 drinks, only issue with that is one drink costs $10, so not really a deal. But about 10 PM it picked up, lots of girls and guys. Place was packed. Dancing, drinking and just having a good time. Headed out to Old Town Scottsdale after that, but it was raining like crazy so I just went home.
Friday night went to Cadillac Ranch at Tempe Market Place. It was ok, road a mechanical bull twice. Had a few drinks, prices weren't to bad, a little expensive but not $10 a drink. We left there and headed to Scottsdale. We walked around to see what was going on and decided on Axis. Had a drink and was getting ready to leave when I met this really nice girl. So I huh out and talked with her, much to her friends dismay apparently. So her friends came and grabbed her about 2 AM so I headed off to find my buddy. We left and went to after hours at Sultry.
Sultry is really cool! They have great food for very reasonable prices. Great atmosphere, actually might consider hanging out there and having a few drinks before the clubs. The owner Rob is really cool, ex-Navy and has specials for service men and women. Ended up talking with him for a bit, talked some shit, so now I have to run down there and eat 6 of his most intense wings. I do it and I drink the rest of the night on him. What is a little physical pain... But seriously check him out. Really cool place. He has a stripper pole up, so after hours is a lot of fun with some drunk girls in there. :) He was telling us about some of his other plans and sounds like that place is going to be super cool. It is right across the street from Myst. Has a nice patio. I highly recommend checking it out!
So we got out of there and went home. The next day I spent recovering from a little hangover and some extremely sore legs, that actually carried over for two more days. Monday rolls around and my buddy Randy calls, so I headed over to Dos Gringos in Scottsdale. $2 beer and $2 food, can't beat that. Had a beer there, walked down to The Salty Senorita, nothing really happening there, had a beer then walked to different little bars to see what was happening. Finally hit Saddle Ranch.
Saddle Ranch was doing pretty well. Lots of people. Unfortunately for me they have a bull riding contest every Monday at 10. Apparrently I have a problem telling my buddy and two pretty girls no. So I signed up. Road the bull, didn't win anything, but had a good time. The food was really good, what we had. They have this big and I mean big cotton candy thing. They brought one out for the girls. Have some pictures, will try and get them up soon. It is pretty funny and way to much sugar! Anyway ended the night there. It was a really cool place, I think we are hitting that again this weekend. You should definately check it out if you have a chance. It is on Scottsdale Road just south of Stetson.
That was my weekend. Lots went on, and I remember it all, a good weekend.
Let me know if you have any suggestions of places to go.Labels: Entertainment

So spent the night all over the valley tonight. Started at 16th Street Sports Bar, regular place although I personally try to stay out of there lately. It is a great bar, but too much personal bs for me. Friday nights they do trivia, alway competative, check it out if you are into that.
Then hit Aunt Chiladas, was kind of dead, a little surprised by that, being that it is one of the last good weekends to sit out on their patio. If you have a chance definately hit AC's on a Friday night. It is alway a blast and always a different crowd, changes throughout the night. Goes from older to younger and back or vise versa. But it is a lot of fun. Not cheap, but free food for happy hour.
Got bored there and headed out to Scottsdale. My buddy and I hit Drift first off, knew some people there. I hadn't been there in a few years, used to be one of my favorite places to go. If you go and have a driver get an Evil Bastard. GREAT drink. Hung there for a little bit, then walked around to see what looked happening. Ended up at Myst, seemed to have the most people in it. It was early for Scottsdale. But we stuck it out and it ended up being fun. My ears are ringing from the music. It really isn't my kind of place. I am not a club kind of guy, but I had fun. Met some people, hung out with some old friends and just really had fun. The GoGo dancers were smokin' hot. I actually would do that again.
We split out of there and my buddy wanted to go home, but I talked him into going one more place. We headed over to Giligans. That was a waste of time. It was dead in there. Well not actually dead, but all guys. So we were out of there quick.
Over all Myst was the highlight of the evening. Lot of fun, lots of people and lots of pretty girls. What more could you ask for?

So my buddy Ryan and I hit Scottsdale tonight. Hear on the radio that Trader Vick's was going to be the place to go. So we decided to hit it. The bar was very cool, nice area's to kick back with your friends. Good drinks, a little on the pricey side, but nothing crazy for Scottsdale. Food looked good although we did not eat. As for the fun factor on a Thursday night, it was kind of dead, it was their first Thursday night deal, so you have to give them a little time to build it up. I did like the atmosphere though. Very cool. Very chill. Has a huge selection of alcohol.
After hanging there for a bit we went over to Dos Gringos. That place was buzzing on a Thursday night. Very happening. I am sure once it gets hot it will die, but tonight it was a lot of fun. Met a lot of people, one guy was super entertaining. Ronnie has no fear, but dude, you need to get some glasses or something. It was a ton of fun. Had a few beers, prices are definately Scottsdale, but again not too bad. Lots to look at and a good time too be had by all. We hung out there the rest of the evening and then split. I definately suggest checking Dos out. I am sure Tempe is no different.
Overall it was a good night, started kind of slow but ended on a high note. Check it out and let me know what you think. Later!Labels: Entertainment
